Boston Premiere at the Brattle Theatre

We were blown away that our film CIRCLE UP won Best Documentary Feature at the Rhode Island International Film Festival!  Now we're gearing up for our Boston premiere at GlobeDocs Film Festival on Saturday, October 14 at 12:00pm at the Brattle Theatre. CIRCLE UP will screen with the short film Lenox Street and will be followed by an informal reception across the street at Beat Brasserie (cash bar).

Purchase tickets for the Brattle Theatre screening of CIRCLE UP here.

The film tells the story of a group of Boston mothers who seek true justice for their murdered children. After the brutal slaying of her teenage son, Janet Connors reaches out to her son’s killer to offer a chance for forgiveness. They team up with other survivors – and a Native American peacemaker – to help young people in their community break the chain of violence and revenge.

We are also very excited to announce our partnership with the Center for Restorative Justice at Suffolk University!  We will be collaborating with the Center to bring the film to schools, juvenile justice facilities, prisons, and survivor groups around the country.  Our hope is to use the film to spread restorative practices as a way to build community, heal from trauma, resolve conflict, and prevent violence.

Good news: you can now request a screening of Circle Up through our website.

In addition to our film festival run, CIRCLE UP is showing in coming months at a teachers' union, a survivors' group, a probation program, and a restorative justice conference. Stay tuned for more news!
We're grateful for the many grants and contributions that made CIRCLE UP possible. Please consider donating to our tax-deductible impact campaign today!
